1. What is the need for
this Bible study?
The seeds for Bible Basics were planted in 2001 when we
began a
weekly ministry with Chinese students, researchers and business
professionals living in Omaha. At that time, we quickly realized
that there are very few resources designed for people who don't
have a Christian background. Virtually all published studies
assume either personal faith or some degree of familiarity with
biblical concepts. Bible Basics starts at the very
beginning
God, the Bible, Satan, sin and Jesus.
To fill this need, we wrote Bible Basics. This book
lays a
foundation for future Bible studies and for acceptance of Jesus
as Savior. It is designed to be a natural on-ramp for What's

2. Who will benefit
from this study?
It is uniquely written for those who know very little about the
Bible and need foundational Christian teaching. Any group of
seekers and believers will enjoy the easy- to-read lessons. This
includes business professionals, internationals, students,
women's groups, men's groups, Sunday school classes and home
educators. Mature believers will be equipped with a valuable
resource for discipling others. It presents the view of the
Bible without being pushy or threatening.
3. What is the format
of each lesson?
Each lesson is 2 pages and includes clear scriptural teaching.
All Bible verses are written out. Practical discussion questions
are given for each lesson.
4. How can I get the
most from this workbook?
It is recommended that you study this book with a small group
(2-10) for six sessions (one lesson per session.) Group members
are encouraged to respond to the discussion questions and ask
questions.
